SIGINIFICANT CASES:
Member of Castano litigation group that represented Gray Davis,
Governor of California in the case of Davis v. R.J. Reynolds
Tobacco Company, et al. which resulted in the recovery of
$12,503,486,255.37 for the state of California;
Member of the Indiana Attorney General tobacco litigation group who
recovered $3,996,355,551.01 for the State of Indiana from the
tobacco companies.
Previously co-counsel in the case of Thomas Burnett, Sr., et al.
v. Al Baraka Investment and Development Corporation, et al.,
Cause No. 1-02-01616-JR, currently pending in the United States
District Court for the District of Columbia. Burnett seeks to
hold Saudi individuals and entities liable for the terrorist attacks
of September 11, 2001.
Previously handled over 400 suits seeking compensation for injuries
due to asbestos exposure. Asbestos litigation includes Novicki v.
Rapid American, which recognized that death due to asbestos
exposure is a new cause of action.
